I then proceeded to completely wipe my game files and re-install the game from scratch. I also messed around with the map and description text, in order to make sure I wasn't encountering some weird profanity filter issue, as I heard there had been issues with even official maps, where "booty" in the booty bay map would trigger the filter. Keep in mind, that I could start up the officially provided maps just fine. That map did the same thing, it just kicks you back to the lobby when I try and run it. I am shocked, seems like I just straight up cannot make ANY custom maps at all!įirst, I tried a simple test where I booted up the editor and made an extremely simple map that literally only contains a player 1 and 2 starting point, gave it a name and then saved it.

Is this just a launch hiccup, or does anyone know if there is something else you need to do to make the maps work?

It updates the preview image to the new tile-set colors in Reforged, but the maps still just kick you back into the main menu. I have also tried opening my personal backup of the maps in the new world editor, and successfully saving them without issue.

When trying to host a private session with either of the maps, the game stalls for a few seconds, and then eventually kicks you back out into the lobby.Īfaik, the maps only use what was originally present in Warcraft III, so no missing data or something like that, I would assume. Now that Reforged has been officially released, I wanted to make sure that my old maps still work, but unfortunately, I have had no luck so far.

I have 2 maps on Hive, namely: Headhunters CotR v1.17 & Headhunters Remake Hey everyone, just popping in here to ask around a bit. Instead, put your maps into: "Users\YourUsername\Documents\Warcraft III\Maps" Solution: Do NOT put your maps into a folder within the game's install directory, as your maps will not load.
